Assuming a month of 30.41 days it follows from Tableghat, as 88.22 taels of dross opium are smoked in divans per mensen a weight 1,012.44 taels of dross opium.is smoked in divans per dien.

On the same assumptions, as 19,487.392 taels of prepared opium are oked in divans per mensen, a weight of 607.936 taels is smoked per dien..

Again, on the same assumptions, as 27,701.23 taels of prepared opium

er densen, a weight of 910.925 taels is smoked per diem.

According to the Census returns of 1906 the Chinese population of

The portion of the New Territory not included

population of

85,011

Therefore, the Grand Total of Population for the Colony and the Territories =

pots of *042 qaels of prepared opium, costing
